how to wear a light-colored suit

Casual Linen-Not all linen suits are big-shouldered, dressy things designed for lawn parties and derbies. Some, like this dove-gray version—unstructured and unlined—can be worn to more casual events. Pair one with a white V-neck T-shirt, brown lace-ups or loafers, and nothing else.

Modern-A pastel suit is generally inadvisable. But when the color is an extraordinarily pale blue, the material is smooth, paper-thin cotton, and the cut is slim, it can become a spring essential. Opt for no-nonsense underpinnings: a crisp white shirt and a black tie.

Dressy Linen-An elegant linen suit should have the same qualities as a perfect gray-flannel one: high-cut shoulders, a narrow jacket, and slightly tapered pants. Treat it like you would its cold-weather counterpart and wear a white shirt, a gray tie, and a silver tie bar. The shoes you can switch—try white bucks.

Spring Pinstripe-Traditional pin-striped suits are too buttoned-up to wear during the warm months. But a lightweight one in tan-and-white-striped cotton—not seersucker—can stand in. Dress it up for a business meeting or a daytime wedding with neutral accompaniments like a light-gray shirt and tie.

Chino-Just because you’re aiming for a springtime aesthetic doesn’t mean you have to wear light colors from head to toe. Try wearing a closely tailored chino suit with a dark madras shirt—as opposed to a bright or pastel one—and a shiny navy tie.

ending of week no.8

ler's mood for the week:destroying all sad data;supposingly happy lor

lers-movie of the week:both show were great, letting go either one is a sin.Well let me begin with NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN-this is definitely a must-watch of the week, its directed by the COEN BROTHERS(previously from O Brother,Where Art Thou?),also starrring TOMMY LEE JONES,JOSH BROLIN and JAVIES BARDEM,who recently received the best supporting actor nod at the golden globes and oscar. This film is at once a coen classic and possibly even their best yet, a brutal crime drama that reminds us of their technique, their eye for absurdity, their ear for language,a rueful meditation on ageing and the seemingly unequal battle between the gd and evil.JAVIES BARDEM's implacable killer, armed with a pneumatic gun and sporting that incongruous Buster Brown do,was the scariest bad guy to stalk a screen in years. But what really distinguished his turn in the show was the wry humor he brought to the role,as if his maniac was in on a cosmic joke everyone else failed to appreciate.Without any hot contender in the supporting category,my bet will be on BARDEM cuz he blew away not only his victims and his audiences too.
up next is PERSEPOLIS-my friend and i loved this movie.lt shows the events in Iran starting with the toppling of the shah through the eyes of a nine yrs old, growing from little girl into a young women. The perspective, relative to the age of the girl is captured wonderfully. In parts immensely funny, often rather touching, and in parts of course sad, given the slice of history it is representing, for all i can tell (and yes,i'm wise enough to tell, and have followed media reports of all sorts over the yrs) everything that is presented as fact is historically accurate.I highly recommend this film,as it shows(what we of course know) that Iranians are human beings just like you and i

lers-record of the week:lenny kravitz-IT IS TIME FOR A LOVE REVOLUTION:nineteen yrs after making his debut with LET LOVE RULE,lenny kravitz, forever the flower child,is still preaching abt the power of love. And while not making any radical changes-the dude remains a disciple of classic rock-he has rarely delivered his message with more passion and hook-heavy punch. From the anthemic ' love revolution ' which calls for a 'new constitution' to the country-tinged ballad ' if you want it ' ,one of several tunes that reveal a deeper spirituality, kravitz is in top form. The album closes with two antiwar songs, including ' black in vietnam ' ,which addressing the Iraq conflict, draw unfortunate parallels with the past.
highly recommended: LOVE LOVE LOVE-a guitar-riffing jam spreading positively

lers desperately craving of the week: BBQ CHICKEN WINGS & SAMBAL STINGRAY

lers desire of the week: MONTRES LIP WATCHES is the brand and the name for the above watch is named as MACH_CHRONOGRAPH,these watches are from france,it trails can only be found at far east plaza and the price for the watch is SGD$798.They only shipped in 2 pieces for each design so is quite rare to see someone with the same watch as u,provided u willing to foot the bill...i really like it but seriously is too ex for me to invest in it unless someone is kind enough to be my santa haha...

this is much more classic compare to the black one;for more mature group

ler ler's chocolate kingdom

i might not have won a golden ticket to willy wonka's chocolate factory but i can still have my chocolate and eat it too with these sweet offerings in town
truffles-named because of its stark resemblance to the exotic french mushroom,a truffle is made of chocolate(ganache),butter, sugar and sometimes liqueur. They are shaped into balls and often coated with cocoa powder.

gianduja-(a filled chocolate is broadly referred to as a 'bon bon') A bon bon filled with finely ground nuts mixed with chocolate.Gianduja was created during the napoleonic blockade in the 19th century, when chocolatiers had to improvise with roasted hazelnuts to make chocolate more affordable due to a shortage of cocoa.

ganaches-a bon bon filled with a mixture of chocolate and cream. The chocolate mixture is silky and creamy, and usually made from chopped semi-sweet chocolate and boiling cream.lt can be flavoured with chocolate, coffee, liqueurs and extracts.

praline-a bon bon filled with nuts, mostly almonds and hazelnuts.Praline(pronounced 'pray-leen') is also the most commonly used term in the chocolate kingdom, and is used loosely to refer to chocolate candies in general.Belgians refer to pralines as filled chocolates, mostly with nuts or chocolate centres.

liqueur filled chocolates-a bon bon filled with alcohol, mostly cognacs, rum and even champagne! The shot of alcohol blends with the chocolate to give it a unique flavour

cream & fondants-filled with sugar or sugar syrup fillings, cremes are great for anyone of us with an extremely sweet tooth!!
A little note for chocolate lover-ideally,chocolates are best stored between 15-18 degrees and in 40-50% humidity, which is quite different from a domestic fridge, which can cause the chocolate to 'bloom' (you notice a powdery white layer) so at home, keep the chocolates well wrapped and stored in a cool air-conditioned room or in an airtight container in a wine fridge

ending of week no.7

ler's mood for the week: crazily happy
lers-movie of the week: juno- a highly recommended teens flick es[p] to our loveable parents there. lts a interpretation of a moral dilemma most teenage girls face today. ELLEN PAGE(previously from hard candy) had ravishingly performed. This is truly an encouraging and very successful work(till date the box office gross was $117,506,107)

lers-record of the week: sheryl Crow-DETOURS: this is her sixth studio album,it takes her back to where it all started, reuniting her with producer bill bottrell, with whom she worked on for the debut. The move results in some of her catchiest songs since 'All i wanna do' She continues along the rootsy path of 2005's WILDFLOWER with folk, country and blues turns, while venturing into middle eastern territory on 'peace be upon us' one of the socially conscious tunes that have plenty of hearts as well as hooks
highly recommended: LOVE IS FREE-an irresistible and inspired sing-along tune
lers hardcore craving of the week: ginseng chicken soup

the best and worst movies of 2007

Everyone got their likes and dislikes, me too..trust me is so difficult for me to make a top 10 movies list this year,so is 12 for me this year. Nope i'm not greedy i just simply cant live without movies. Blockbusters is a NO for me i prefer more upstream and indies kind of show..well i shall say no more, perhaps you guys would like to share your preference with me too...

Top 12 best movies
HALF NELSON-everyone has a vice but it's what they do about it that counts. The show is essentially about the struggles people go through and the means in which they address their inner demons. RYAN GOSLING is one of my favourite actor ever since THE NOTEBOOK and he performed outrageously.

BABEL-chalk up another masterpiece for mexico. A daring, dreamy production and it captures the zeitgeist beautifully

BLOOD DIAMOND-the best leonardo's film to date. BLOOD DIAMOND delivers the massive scale and thrilling action that can only be found in a bigtime hollywood blockbuster. It aspires to be a great film, though is not yet still a good movie

ACROSS THE UNIVERSE- if u want to see a movie musical other than HAIRSPRAY or DREAMGIRLS and still u adore bowie, prince, the police, the stones,nirvana,U2 and guns n'roses, this is a great stuff..and the last time i fall in love with HEY JUDE will be here

KNOCKED UP- a perfect marriage of gross out comedy(for the guys) and romantic comedy(for the girls) check out KATHERINE HEIGL before 27 dresses

THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS- WILL SMITH has a natural charm that is hard to shake off in his many roles, but this is exceptional..An uplifting and inspiring film instead

JOSHUA-having kids is scary.Having scary kids is scarier and having joshua as ur kid is crazy scary. Therefore being just a parent wasnt terrifying enough. This is a creepy good fun

BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA- terabithia is a beautiful but treacherous world, the story is not for anyone. lt is a secret note passed from one generation of creative souls to another. A wonderful fantasy,a heart wrenching coming of age story. BRAVO!!

NOTES ON THE SCANDAL- a gripping trill ride that will leave u uneasy for days. Women bangers is a must watch

THE NAMESAKE-at times funny, emotional and thought provoking, this is a must see for anyone who's spent so much time overseas they start to question where home is

FREEDOM WRITERS-it's an awful lot like dangerous minds, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. This film is well-meaning and quite well executed. HILARY SWANK is still great as usual

WAITRESS-the film is about a waitress trying to come to terms with her unwanted pregnancy, while trying to figure out how to leave her husband. WAITRESS marks the triumphant return of KERI RUSSELL,it's common people stories that we are able to relate. It's genuinely sweet and funny
